Habits to Slow Aging

Your habits have a dramatic effect on aging. If you adopt good habits, they can affect your aging in a positive manner. “Good habits” can mean a variety of things. It can mean little things, such as drinking eight glasses of water every day and eating a balanced diet. Good habits can include lifestyle, state of mind, stress, diet and exercise. Good habits that prevent aging are good for both women and men. In addition to these healthy preventative measures, you should use a good anti-wrinkle eye cream to reverse damage that has already been done.
Balance your approach to both health and fitness. Begin an exercise program that includes strength training, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness. Do not go to the extreme and wind up with injuries. Injury often leads to weight gain, depression or even exhaustion. All of these will cause you to appear and feel older than you actually are.
In order to achieve the best anti-aging program, you must realize that mental health is as important as physical health. Negative attitudes are contagious. You must work to remain positive, especially if negative situations surround you. Remaining positive is often difficult, but well worth the effort. When circumstances are going poorly for you, you may fight depression and clinical depression may require prescription medication. Do not be afraid to seek help if it is needed. Your family physician is a helpful place to begin. Depression causes you to look older than you actually are and it adds wrinkles and lowers your countenance.
Other bad habits contribute to acceleration of the aging process, the foremost of which is smoking. If you do not smoke, do not start. If you do smoke, stop. In addition, do not spend time in any area where smoke from cigarettes is present. Vitamin C is a critical vitamin to skin care. Cigarette smoke, including second hand smoke, depletes Vitamin C from your skin.
Stop consumption of alcohol. Alcohol causes capillaries that take blood to the skin to constrict and force blood to the surface of the skin. This results in the blotchy redness of the face characterized by chronic alcohol consumption. Extended use of alcohol can damage capillaries permanently, making one look older than their chronological years.
The use of sunscreen or sun block is recommended whenever outside. The sun’s UV rays cause the skin to dry and this results in wrinkles and aging of the skin. Additionally, sun exposure can cause skin cancer. The minimum sunscreen SPF number to apply is 30 any time you are going outside. If you take medication that increases your sensitivity to the sun, wear a hat to further protect your face from sun damage.
Avoid any extreme temperatures as these cause signs of aging. Consider adding a humidifier to your home during the winter months to keep your skin from becoming overly dry and always moisturize your skin.
Be sure to make regular use of wrinkle cream in order to prevent wrinkles. While it may not be able to restore damage done by years of bad habits, a good anti-aging cream such as Revitol will help to prevent damage from this point on. In fact, many people have tried the Revitol Free Trial and found an excellent anti-aging product without ever leaving their home.
