Aug 1 - New Infrastructure. We've expanded our infrastructure which should make every page faster. You may not have noticed but FreeHitMaps was straining under the load of over 400,000 hits per day.

Jul 31 - Rebuild Map Tool. There's a new link on your dashboard to rebuild your map. In the event your map is not showing correctly you can try rebuilding it to fix up any problems.

Jul 31 - Layout Change. We've made some slight cosmetic changes to the site. The width has been increased to allow more space for our sponsers — Sponsers keep this site free.

May 1 - New Features. Just some features we've been working on: Merge hits from two maps into one. Delete maps from your account. Map preview now shows hits. My Account menu added so you can change your password... and more on the way.

Apr 21 - New Site Design. Our site has gone through some major renovation to make room for new features. Now you can create an account so you can come back and change your map style.
